None of the modes work for me anymore, but FC 24 Coins the football is magical. On this pitch, FC 24 is one of the slickest in years. I briefly dove back in for the disappointing World Cup mode, but right now Im finding myself booting it up and just playing a few friendlies for a laugh. St. James Park, snow, night, orange ball. The Gallowgate under the lights with frost on the pitch - you just cant beat it. St. Maximin running down the wing, snow flicking off his heels as his dreadlocks bounce under his headband, Botman clattering someone as he slices up his socks launching into a sliding tackle, Bruno pinging the orange ball 40 yards into Wilson path - it majestic.
Ive always done these one-friendlies in between other modes, but this year theyre the way I play the most. I used to do the Tyne amp; Wear Derby, Newcastle and Sunderland, but it seems a bit unfair on poor ol Sunlun, so I usually match wits with City, Liverpool, or Chelsea. Theyre more our level these days. In a game where winning is everything, where players are constantly pushed to max out packs and squads and forever rise up the league tables in the quest for Sisyphean glory, it refreshing to just have a kickabout. Christmas is cold, and rainy, and Irsquo;m holed up in my mum living room for a couple of weeks, so I need some escapism. I was born and raised in Central London, so tall buildings and narrow alleyways comfort me, something my country bumpkin friends say is really weird. Anyways, Irsquo;ll be spending the holidays roaming the streets of Night City, becoming the best Netrunner I can be. It far from perfect, but the neon-hued facade makes me want to press my face right up against the window.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, David W. Duffy
Usually at Christmas Ill start a run in a classic Final Fantasy, and what better time than now to start from the very beginning with the Pixel Remasters on Steam Deck? Game of the Year playthroughs are done, there no hurry to play anything new, and I need a little comfort cheap EA FC 24 Coins (turn-based) battling. I dont have too much time though as Im working, so I might just go with the best one, FF4.
