As we'd later learn, Blizzard actually did design Diablo with a dark style of design before adding lights and a bigger color palette D2R Items. Blizzard made fun of itself with its Easter egg Whimsyshire which is a land of unicorns that's much brighter than anything else in the game. It's also designing Diablo 4 with the promise of art direction more like Diablo 2.
When Diablo was getting ready for launch, however there was a gentle voice of discontent prior to it leaving the gate. Since the style of art is that is so polarizing, the proof would have to be in the play. Once you've gotten your hands on Diablo, Blizzard suggested, you'd be a believer.
Error 37 illuminates the Internet
With a bunch of demon hunters itching to test the game its paces and see how it handled and how it performed, it was even more frustrating when it was discovered that they weren't actually able to play. Instead of seeing the game they'd been anticipating for the better part of a decade, players received an unspecific message:
The servers are very busy at the moment. You can try again. (Error 37)
In the absence of any specific indication of just how busy these servers are, or the time it would take for them to be fixed players were stuck in the dark. They were not sure what to do for a while, come back later or abandon the game completely. The game's director Josh Mosqueira later said that the game's launch was larger than anyone in the team could have imagined, even after doubling and then tripling the projections in the novel Blood, Sweat, and Pixels by Jason Schreier buy diablo 2 resurrected items.
