With the NBA Playoffs currently underway, 2K Games uses NBA 2K22 to simulate the teams involved and determine which teams will compete in the Final NBA 2K Coins. The NBA Playoffs are underway which will see 16 teams compete against each other in a best-of-7 tournament to determine who will be the 2022 NBA Champion. In the video game world, 2K Games attempts to predict the NBA Final, using NBA 2K22 to simulate the entire event, just like they did last year with NBA 2K21.
The simulation is constructed using in the NBA Playoffs mode and entering the teams in their appropriate positions so that they accurately represent the actual structure. NBA 2K22 then runs the games with an automated system that plays each round of the playoff with the goal of determining the winner each one and moving them to the next round.
The opening round offered a few unexpected surprises as the power-house teams took down their foes with ease. The games that featured teams lower in the rankings were nail-biters particularly for the Mavericks and Jazz team, who played through the entire seven-game set despite having no NBA 2K22 cover athlete Luka Doncic in the first game and two.
Perhaps the most shocking thing to happen is the seventh-seed Brooklyn Nets defeating the second-seed Boston Celtics in six games most likely due to the fact that the Celtics are on a 2-0 roll in the first round. The only prediction that's most likely to be fulfilled is the Philadelphia 76ers beating over the Toronto Raptors, as the series is currently at 3-0 in Philadelphia's favor.
Second round: the Phoenix Suns takedown Doncic and the Mavericks in six games, while the Grizzlies beat the Warriors in six games. The 76ers continue to establish their dominance in the postseason due to Ja Morant, one of the top players in NBA 2K22, defeating the Miami Heat in five games 2K22 MT Buy. The Bucks beat the Nets in an epic seven-game series way to set the scene for a thrilling pair of Conference Finals.
