Because most people climbed up on RuneScape, we are self-learned and RuneScape gold never needed a tutorial. Tutorial Island, which I love and will defend to my death, makes you kill a rat in revo manner but does not even mention the action bar or the way to rotate abilities. It's no wonder some folks just assume clicking and waiting to die and perhaps sipping on a prayer potion is your whole complexity of the combat system. Yeah, Jagex's tutorials are cluttered. The HUD is a clusterfuck that is impossible to navigate, made worse by icons on versus desktop so anyone who heard RuneScape through mobile will be confounded af.
However, I also blame contemporary gamers. I don't wish to call my friend a brain that is little and laugh about it but that is the entire mentality. Become infuriated by the huge amounts of content secured behind ability levels and quests and they would like to jump in the endgame. RuneScape wasn't built in a day and sadly every move Jagex requires to make RuneScape engaging and fun adds more layers into RuneScape that people won't ever bother to understand.
A fantastic illustration of this is my knowledge of RuneScape. I know exactly where the choppable trees, lobster fishing area, Stiles (the bass banknote exchanger), and Brimhaven gate are in Musa Point. That understanding is burnt into my head. Nobody taught me that. But if I needed to smith a masterwork platebody, for example, I'd have to look for every single necessary component and step on the wiki because I'm just clueless. Attempting to act without any of the knowledge of RuneScape we build upon from our childhood experiences (normally ) needs to be nauseating for somebody pitched into RuneScape free of concept of the mechanisms or locational consciousness.
OSRS player here. A RS3 Ironman was started by me and I got the hang out of it, to some extent. But were the first weeks overwhelming! I get it, if a game is as outdated as RuneScape is, an individual could anticipate that it is packed with content. Problem is, it seems like RuneScape wants you to learn/do EVERYTHING right at the start of your accounts. Having played since 2006, I'm quite knowledgeable about the general gameplay and setting of RuneScape. Stillit took me to even remotely comprehend the huge mess the?interface" in RuneScape is. I had been thinking?how on Earth does a whole newcomer manage all of this? ".
After little over a week now, I have finished all quests, progressed more, and overall soon...relearning everything. While in the"new participant experience" stage a whole lot has changed, I turned off the activity tracker and just began doing my own thing and learned so much better than doing exactly what RuneScape suggests I do. This, and twitch chat has helped a great deal also. However, 99.9% of fresh players/long hiatus returning gamers are not likely to own all that. I think every way aspects are introduced have to be uninstalled. They do not need to Buy RS gold change burthorpe...again. But perhaps something as straightforward as introducing them over and disabling some features time. Say you do enjoy demon slayer with"heritage" battle, then get abilities after.
