To be fair and I understand there will be a demographic who will potentially get upset at this sentiment, but franchise players are the minority that is most likely. I believe a small percentage of buyers are playing franchise and that I believe the direction EA is moving or already has went is to appeal to the casual player and the Hardcore MUT players. And the easiest way to do this is with Modes such as the 3 on 3 additional modes, celebrity mode etc. Consider it lovers have complained about some thing the past couple of years yet Madden nfl 21 coins sells and sells outdoing occasionally. You appeal to players /try to draw casual players which brings interest to the actual NFL Sport.
I truly wouldn't be shocked if maddens whole business plan is to continuously forcing new lovers to the NFL instead of keep long time madden players because let's be fair ( a lot of long time players are now adults who only play Madden 21 ever so often so we will most likely buy Madden 21 regardless). Additionally the NFL has already made money off the Longterm madden players throughout time, we've observed Madden 21s on television to maintain the tv earnings up, some have bought the jerseys etc., so the deal between madden and the NFL is to get drive new fans our way and they're doing that now with things like MUT, that is basically a popularity contest and the superstar style (play as DJ Khalid, Yachty, amigos etc you're reaching for those men fans who might not have played madden or even heard of it.
You correct man. I like franchise mode and MUT. I bitch about UT but I am also part of the problem in regards to franchise style expiring while UT takes off. My two best friends went difficult on squads last year and won several Super Bowls together. In all honesty, it was a ton of fun. I then sit back and understand between us 3, all adult IT professionals with no kids, we probably spent north of $1,000 jointly to"improve" our experience. I then go and try to play a solo adventure in offline franchise like the old days and see how fucking terrible and not fun it's become. I guess part of my disdain for UT is that it did not have to come to this. I am unhappy and I feel bad that I helped contribute to the passing of this legitimate simulation game we all grew up loving. Honest to god pain in my heart and I regret what I have helped bring about. EA played us hard. I really don't regret the awesome times we had but that I believe it ultimately ruined the item.
I ain't mad at ya at all lol. I performed MUT for 2 years 17-18 and assembled a 99 ovr group both times without spending and putting a great deal of hours into. Today I'm a parent so that time has cut short and when I buy madden it's solely because me and my brothers all play online along with trash talk each other every weekend and honestly that's why I buy it every year because it keeps us in communication with each other because we are in different states with families, kids etc. But don't be hard on yourself. MUT Players aren't the reason why Franchise continues to be bare and here is proof: 2K has an UT called myteam which is terribly worst than maddens from the microtransactions department.
It's mandatory that you spend money to construct a decent team or play for waaaay to many hours. And even then it's hard since their matchmaking will fit you up with a high ovr team and you've got a lot of 70s. folks pump thousands within that manner, I know Myteam players and they pump at least 4-5k annually into that mode since you can't build a team with no spending. Yet 2K franchise mode is quite deep and nothing new has been added in the past 4 years.
In the past 4 decades 2K has not touched franchise: it's filled with buy Mut 21 coins a numerous amount of menus and choices yes but many don't work, and nothing new was added on a long time.
