Diablo 2: Resurrected Update Reintroduces an old feature Classic FeatureDiablo II Resurrected saw a fresh update this week that brought back a feature from inside the initial Diablo II game. That feature is the Ladder system, which gives players the possibility to compete against each other via a more competitive way to play through the storyline of the game with the characters they've created.
The Ladder system comes with several variations and is now available for players to return to or to play for the first time depending on whether they played original Diablo II or not.
If you did play the original game before this new version, you'll be familiar with a few of the key features of this Ladder system. It's offered in Classic, Hardcore Classic, Expansion, or Hardcore Expansion variants with each of them having distinct rules that govern how many lives players have and the types of content that are available.
"Each mod will come with its specific leaderboards, where players compete to strategically gain experience within the limited timeframe and have access to content specific to the Ladder mode," Blizzard's announcement about the release of their Ladder system included in Diablo II: Resurrected said. "When this Ladder season is finished, leaderboard rankings will reset, transitioning characters to non-ladder mode, giving players an opportunity."
