  In the years following Inarius and D2R Items Lilith secretly created Sanctuary in the name of the Nephalem - the offspring of angels and humans - the council of Archangels convened to decide on humanity's fate. The council was led by Tyrael. the final vote, and therefore he will be held responsible for that decision by the rest of the Angiris Council, leading to him becoming mortal before the events in Diablo 4 all for the good of mankind. His role in the forthcoming game isn't yet known however, there are possible ways that this key character could be involved in the future of the series.
