So with that in mind We've worked to WOW WOTLK Classic Gold make it so every time you log on, every day that you log in and you go to Broken Shore or go to Broken Isles, you don't know what exactly you're going to do. When you get there, you can evaluate the situation, and then decide the best way to take on the Legion now.
It's almost like in Legion that this is limited by the islands, as opposed to Cataclysm which there were far-reaching effects that affected the entirety of Azeroth. Could this be an intentional thing? Do you think the impact that the Legion will be felt more broadly in Azeroth in the future?
RS: One of our fundamental philosophies at Blizzard is focusing the excitement. Once you disperse the various elements of content to a large extent the game becomes quite overwhelming for players. We noticed in the early stages that we had these invasions that took place across several parts of Azeroth And then we decided in part for the fantasy, in part for the story that the Legion was to concentrate exclusively on Broken Shore and its immediate surroundings, namely the Broken Isles. That was partly because we felt that the gameplay works well for this.
MD: One of the main ideas behind the patch is return into the Broken Shore and reclaim the Broken Shore. This is the place where the Legion expansion really started. The method used to launch the Legion was to go on a trip to The Broken Shore, you fought Gul'dan, and all the other big baddies, and we suffered an important loss. We lost Tirion, we lost Vol'Jin and then we lost Varian massive losses and we had to retreat. This patch is related to the continuation the story and pushing it forward.
One thing that is fascinating as well in this patch are some Class Orders. The Class Orders form an important part of "Why we'll succeed where we've failed before." To be specific, a many times when we use those Class Orders, we do revisit those other places. In the Monk class order with this patch, we're likely be able to go back to Stormstout Brewery. This is a great opportunity for players to spread their wings; remind them of how large and vibrant this world is and you are able to see the progress towards "Oh I see that, and the Legion is actually spreading its tendrils a little."
RS: It's a little better to focus when players are going over the top to go into these other parts of Azeroth rather than have this spread all the time. This is in the buy WOW WOTLK Classic Gold interest of the player experience more that anything.
