I dun when I perform with XIV I remember a 2080S should be getting me over the FPS with all the graphics. Or Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta maybe its as in PSO2 your not spending 20mins standing still waiting on a timer that is queue so that you don't have time to stare in the crappy textures? PSO2 I've found is just a lot faster paced then XIV, like you simply load up your mission and GO, or maybe its because you don't get to zoom into a much as you can in XIV. Maybe I Heins dreadful outfit texture and spent too long staring.
New original content comes out quite infrequently, more often you will see recycled material, for instance that the"brand new" Ultra Hard difficulty on JP host is usually the exact same old pursuit but with higher enemy's stats. They don't even bother to remove old fall. My opinion is that PSO2 is worth it for play, however if you're hardcore, then find a better game to sink hours to. As it is not my native, I apologize sometimes.
Makes sense, appreciate the answer. I am not necessarily searching for something absolutely hardcore, I have lots of matches for that already, but so long as the battle is crisp and satisfying, and offers a challenge in battle and meaningful choices in character progression, that is fine. As that is not the design of PSO1 I'm not hoping to support or only heal. Every class was mostly damage. The majority of the time as Force, I would be spamming Rabarta/Jellen/Zalure to debuff and suspend everything, and then bursting down stuff with the specials to weaken/oneshot items while melees and my group tanks of Hell/Devil.
But drive was also fun too. Most classes could offer some form of usefulness with techs, traps, or unique weapons that offer CC, and it was very fun to swap out of a handgun to short-range daggers when stuff closed the gap onto you. I'm assuming PSO2 has weapon swaps like this? Either way though it sounds really different from pso1, but still receives a whole lot of positive attention, which PSU never actually did, so going to put a chunk of time.
I haven't played ms2 to compare the two, honestly. The update system in PSO2 is not rng at all, by feeding them other weapons you update weapons. There is also a system which allows you to get some more stats on your equipment. This system is RNG, depending on what abilities you would like to use (higher grade stuff is obviously more risky), but it is nowhere near your average korean mmos' enchanting. As RNG, I supposed the drop rates of gear itself for, and it's abysmal. They made it a lot easier to get in late episode 5, episode 6 to the BiS equipment, but everything before that was a nightmare. However there are some things currenly that are locked behind RNG, or cheap PSO2 Meseta go for deals on PSO2 market.
