Games can't be allowed to be a mess now

  • "It did not OSRS gold make any profits, but we'd spent a lot of time and effort by this point and there were so many people taking part," said Andrew Gower in one of the book's numerous interviews. "It was thrilling to watch 2,000 to 3,000 players playing simultaneously, and lots of players chatting on the forums, and everyone was enjoying RuneScape. I just wanted to make it. It was fun, even if it wasn't financially profitable".

This is the reason we let the free membership levels remain - they didn't want to scare off their players. It's true that it was a success, as its popularity only grew. But it's important to note that, as The First 20 Years explains, RuneScape didn't reach its highs without a few blunders at some point.

Many of us who played the game daily in the late 2000s would have a difficult time with the debut release today, which is known as RuneScape Classic. It was possible to fight anyone even their opponents. The graphics were beyond basic. It was only able to hold about 1,200 players without going down.

Games can't be allowed to be a mess now. Titanfall 2 isn't getting the resources it needs to fix its online gameplay on the PC. Anthem was cancelled at the midpoint of the game's major overhaul. Fable Legends was cancelled before it could even fully launch. It's not happening, and you have to be Fortnite or go to the grave trying.

A developer's passion may be completely irrelevant to a publisher as well. Dragon Age 4 has been pulled twice due to superior interference continuously dictating the game's direction. Metal Gear players that clearly prefer single-player games, received the multiplayer game Metal Gear Survive in 2018. And that's not even to look at all the subsidiaries  cheap OSRS gold Activision Blizzard wastes on constant Call of Duty development.
