Very little of Warcraft's Alliance continued to fight in Lordaeron at that time, as the majority of its members and all of its experienced leaders were fighting against their battle against the Burning Legion a continent away. Thus, the blood elves came across a man that would be the spark that would ultimately destroy any affection for the Alliance they had left. Othmar Garithos had been a high-ranking officer, who had the privilege of leading the entire Alliance troops in Lordaeron but not by merit, but merely by the need to be desperate. He was a hard racist, xenophobic, as well as a rude man, one who viewed the entire range races in World of Warcraft's other races as being less important than humans.
Kael'thas had begged Garithos to help But the nepotistically appointed Grand Marshal held nothing but dislike for the blood traumatized elves. He refused to let them join forces with his troops against the Scourge, and instead sent Kael'thas' forces on suicidal missions against Warcraft's undead in the hope that they wouldn't succeed in returning. In the end, Kael took help from the Naga, the snake-like creatures who originated from the ocean. The moment word came to Garithos that blood elves were allied with the Naga, he was horrified.
Although it was clear the sin'dorei only joined blades together with the naga for the purpose of preventing their own massacre, Garithos used it as an excuse to condemn them to death on the basis of deceit. The blood elves of WoW's Azeroth were imprisoned , and they would have all been executed if not for Lady Vashj who was who was the leader of the Naga using her own alliance together with Illidan Stormrage in conjunction with Akama to save the entire group. The sin'dorei fled Garithos and the Scourge. They naturally was drawn to Illidan who promised that they would be able to stop their dire mana withdrawals using the fel as a power source. Kael'thas jumped at the chance to lead his people to cheap WOTLK Classic Gold a future where they could finally get the power and security they were entitled to.
