Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, Chicago Sky and WNBA outstanding Candace Parker and mt 2k22 Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant are among the players to be featured on the next NBA 2K video game release which the company has announced today. In celebration of the NBA's coming 75th season, NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Dirk Nowitzki will also grace the cover of the NBA 75th Anniversary Edition (along with Durant). Parker is the first WNBA player to grace the cover of NBA 2K's GameStop Exclusive Edition.
Durant was featured on the cover of NBA 2K in the past and graced it with NBA 2K13 (along with Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose) and NBA 2K15. Doncic and Nowitzki are the first Mavericks ever to appear on the cover of the game's long history.
Nowitzki, Durant and Abdul-Jabbar all have taken to Twitter to announce their inclusion on the NBA2K22 cover, with Abdul-Jabbar saying it is "a Wowzer" to be featured on the cover. Durant and Doncic claimed it was an honour to be named the cover athletes, and Nowitzki joked in tweeting that "Not certain of who these other players were, but it's a huge honour" to be on the NBA2K22 cover.
